Elizabeth Barragato, LMHC, Managing Partner, she/her

Elizabeth Barragato is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has been in private practice for over two decades. Liz believes that an honest, healthy therapeutic relationship can be the springboard from which many life issues can be addressed and healed. Liz is also a Visiting Instructor and Coordinator of the Holistic Studies Specialization in the Graduate School of Arts and Social Sciences at Lesley University. She received her master’s degree from Lesley University and trained in community mental health, as well as College Counseling settings. Liz is interested in holistic theories and counseling methods, with a special interest in the intersection of Eastern wisdom practices, mental health, and wellness. Liz is also deeply influenced by existential and relational psychoanalytic counseling approaches. Through all of these theoretical lenses, Liz sees critical theory and issues of social justice permeating the work of counseling and teaching.

Daniel Simone, EdD, LMHC, Partner, he/him

Daniel Simone is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and has worked in private practice for over two decades. His humanistic and existential approach enables him to connect well with his clients. In his work at Crooked Tree Counseling he is currently focused on supervision and consultation with therapists and school counselors. Dan works as a school adjustment counselor at Concord Carlisle High School in Concord, MA. Additionally, he has been an adjunct faculty member in the Graduate School of Arts and Social Sciences at Lesley University for over 19 years. Dan received his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling - School and Community Specialization, from Lesley University, where he trained in school and family systems, and he holds a Doctor of Education degree from Northeastern University.

Marisa Anderson, LMHC, she/her

Marisa Anderson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with many years of experience working with adolescents and adults in outpatient agencies within the Boston area, and she currently works as an school adjustment counselor at Acton Boxborough High School, in Acton, MA. In her work with clients at Crooked Tree Counseling, Marisa incorporates both strength-based and cognitive behavioral therapies to help facilitate and support a better sense of self, healthy relationships, and stress management skills. Marisa received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University.

Colin Cox, PhD, NCSP, he/him

Colin Cox is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has recently joined the Crooked Tree Counseling team after many years working with children, adolescents, and families in acute psychiatric, community, and school settings. He has worked with populations from young adults to geriatric as a Crisis Clinician with South Shore Mental Health and as a postdoc fellow at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute. In his practice, Colin uses an ecological framework to understand each individual's experience and works to develop treatment goals collaboratively that are strength based and aligned with the client's values. Colin has experience using varied approaches from dialectical behavior therapy to acceptance and commitment therapy and looks forward to joining clients on their journey to find comfort and meaning in their lives. He earned a Ph.D in School Psychology from Northeastern University and has completed clinical training in both Massachusetts and Utah.

Susan Lincoln, LICSW, she/her

Susan Lincoln is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has focused her practice on facilitating healing and wellness, enhancing positive and productive relationships, and developing solutions to manage a range of life stressors. Susan strives to build a trusting relationship, support ongoing personal growth and embrace life-long learning. Susan has extensive experience in a variety of realms including individual therapy, hospital-based primary care practice, community violence, DV/IPV trauma and recovery and the court systems. She has worked with clients on health related issues, life transitions, women's health, victimization, recovery, identity issues, survivorship, and self-care. Whether you are struggling with symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, or relationship dissatisfaction, she would like to hear about your struggles and work with you towards building on your strengths, enhancing your sense of agency and developing increased self-awareness. If you are interested in exploring why and where you are stuck or how to live your best life, Susan would be happy to join you on that journey of discovery. 

Cory McDinger, LMHC, she/they

Cory McDinger is a licensed mental health counselor with over a decade of clinical experience in school and community settings. With a gentle and non-judgmental demeanor and strength-based, insight-oriented, relational approach to therapy, she supports personal growth, new understandings, and valuable change. Cory earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University.

Hope Notaro, LMHC, she/her

Hope Notaro is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her bachelor and master’s degrees at Lesley University. Hope has spent several years working in both school and community settings with children, teens, and young adults conducting both group and individual therapy. Hope approaches counseling from a client centered and strengths based framework and draws from CBT and mindfulness based strategies. She sees therapy as an opportunity for healing, growth, and developing insight about how people navigate their inner and outer worlds. Hope aims to create a compassionate and collaborative environment where clients can identify and understand patterns in their past and present, explore and foster their sense of self, and develop coping skills for managing stress, anxiety, and depression.

Mandy Read, LMHC, she/her

Mandy Read graduated from the Division of Counseling and Psychology at Lesley University, and has spent her post-graduate years working in school and community settings with adolescents, couples and families in Boston and surrounding areas. In her practice as a licensed mental health counselor, Mandy is able to create a warm, comfortable space through active listening along with genuine curiosity to establish a feeling of ease within the therapeutic relationship. Mandy aims to create a collaborative environment in which the client is the expert of their own experiences. Mandy believes her presence in the room will offer warmth and safety in a therapeutic space designed for meaningful exploration of past, present, and preferred future.
